I swear I'm gonna cry. I'm playing this as one of my graduation pieces, and it'll be the last time I ever play with my high school band director and my fellow band mates.
This piece seems peaceful, but do not be fooled. There is a tribe of woodwinds that sacrificed their lungs for this piece. Source: Am a trumpet player who's seen this irl
This piece was the opener and closer to our marching show this past summer
i played both the flute solos my sophomore year of high school it's only been two years but every time that last note rings out, i get major chills
We played this for LGPE and got a superior on it!! I also played the flute solo ☺️☺️
I play trombone for 10 years and I did trombone 1 and 2 in this piece and it sounded so good. Also, the trumpet, flute, bassoon, tuba, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, and horn did a great job with this piece. One of the best music ever
As a bari sax I was so excited to see the part (also we don't have a bassoon so I get the really fun bassoon cues)!
Played this last year for competition in my area. The synth part is pretty fun, and it sounds great from back in the percussion section!
As a trombone player, my lips were burning after this piece.
This is quite a fun song. Very powerful part for the low reeds/low brass. I play the bari sax.
Me and my 2nd band all region just played this 2 days ago, and it was wonderful, even though we had only 1 and a half days to make it work, it was still good, somehow.
My Marine Corps band played bits and pieces of this as part of a concert series four years ago.
