Description
Taste by Rebecca Saunders and Enno Poppe is a 20-minute joint composition for violin and piano. The two original pieces are 'Schmalz' for violin solo by Enno Poppe, for which Rebecca Saunders wrote a piano part, and 'Shadow' for piano solo, for which Enno Poppe composed a violin part. As a result, the two original pieces have been transformed into a completely new work, which has removed the boundary between the two works. It is one of the rare joint compositions in contemporary music. Taste is dedicated to the memory of Uli Löffler.
