Description
The key of D minor sets the stage for this lyrical solo. The melody is written using mostly whole notes in the left hand and is accompanied by broken chords in the right hand. The quick tempo and syncopated pedal allow the melody to flow expressively. This is an excellent piece for working on balance between the hands. Practice steps that include the right hand while playing the left hand as written will help develop this skill.
