Description
Overtures have taken many forms over the centuries, and those written for band have usually been 'medleys' with contrasting themes and tempos. This overture is written in one tempo throughout, with two contrasting themes (ABAB) in the form of a sonatina, also called 'sonatine.' (Grade 3)
