I played timpani for this. Out of 130 measures total, 98 of them are rests for me.

I remember my band director called me out on mallets when I was the only one who stayed silent for like 15 measures straight. It was fun.

I'm in grade 7, and we are playing this at our final concert of the year. I am a clarinet 1 so I would have around 23 measures of rest. But my band director told the 1st clarinets to also play some of the 1st trumpet part. So I had to say bye bye to my rests.

Currently the band I'm in has kids grouped to head to Universal Studios Orlando! We get to perform this piece and 5 others (I am trombone so I rest most of the time lol) but we are getting to perform in the park! We do that during spring break (fairly soon) so wish me luck!

I had the misfortune of playing keyboard percussion in this piece. I'm glad I did. I don't care for Harry Potter, but this was fun to play

I played flute for this and I overheard the trumpets talking about how upset they were when we had a whole 32 measure moment of basically only flutes, and they were mad cause I heard one say "why give a solo to an instrument who practically doesn't exist" later that day he got beaten up for other reasons, I consider that karma
