Description
The madrigal, which originated as an art form in the 14th Century Europe, is a poem for two or more voice in combination. It is a special feature of the madrigal that all vocal lines, not only the treble, should have melodic interest. The young English composer Brian Schlotel (b. 1927) composed this madrigal FIRST SPRING MORNING, and also GAY ROBIN IS SEEN NO MORE, while on a visit to the U.S.A. in 1959.
