Things to consider
Start with the technic book that matches your student's current method level. If your student is in Method Book 1A, use Technic Book 1A alongside it; the exercises reinforce the same finger patterns and musical concepts. Complete 1 (1A/1B) is handy if you want both early levels in one book. Most teachers assign 2-3 exercises from the technic book per week, rotating through them as the lesson progresses.
