Variations on "Cwm Rhondda"By Hal H. Hopson Level: Intermediate Item: 00-GSTC9520
This item is permanently out of print
The familiar hymn tune 'Cwm Rhondda' is set as a theme with three variations. The opening statement is full and interesting with a steady use of fourths. Variation I uses manuals only and is very bright. The second variation is reflective with a solo line above a chordal accompaniment. The work closes with a bright but full setting, with the melody appearing in the pedal. This piece will be a good selection for an organ dedication recital or general service use by any denomination.
