Written in 1811 at a time when his hearing loss was escalating, Beethoven's incidental music The Ruin of Athens has contributed melodies that have been used in almost every instrumental format. The TURKISH MARCH may well be the best known. This John Cacavas arrangement transfers all of the orchestral content into a medium for concert band and wind ensemble.
