An SATB Christmas cantata that may be staged as a living nativity pageant or presented as a service of lessons and carols. Incorporates traditional carols, biblical narrative, and legends that trace modern customs to their Christian origins. Flexible format encourages use of children's choir and congregation. Easily prepared. Optional 3-octaves handbell or chamber orchestra (2 violins, viola, cello [+bass], flute, oboe, clarinet, percussion, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones [+tuba]) accompaniments and fully-orchestrated recordings are also available. Choral score 72 pages, includes reprintable 2-page program. Approx. 35 minutes.
