Description
George Gershwin, born in 1898 in Brooklyn, New York, was a true American composer. Although his star burned but a short lifetime, he enjoyed critical success not only on the popular stages of Broadway but in the prestigious confines of our landmark concert halls. With hints of jazz and dance, he created American classical music of the highest order, and today he is considered a national treasure. Warner Bros. Publications is proud to be the exclusive publisher of George Gershwin's music, and we celebrate his 100th birthday with this special arrangement of his most famous work. Larry Clark has teamed up with percussion specialist George Blakey to create this dynamic marching band rendition of Gershwin's signature piece. This is by far the best version we have ever heard!
