What I'd give to forget ever playing this song and even hearing it... just so that I could experience it all over again.
This was the last song I ever played in high school band. The last song after seven years of personal growth and great friendships.
My senior year, this song was what we were playing. As a French horn player, a band nerd, and music lover, I was so so excited. And then COVID hit and we never got to perform it. And we had it down to a tee. Forever heartbroken when I hear this song, but also given so many memories. This will always be a favorite.
I played this piece last year and as a French horn player I really loved this piece.📯📯 It touched my heart.😍😭
Played this two years ago, still one of my favorite pieces of music, but I swear everyone in my class got PTSD from all the work we put into it. Now, most of the flutes from that band have bad memories when they play low B-flat to high B-flat. (I am one of said flutists)
My school took this song to an out-of-state festival in Texas. We got superiors and during this song, one of the judges got up from his judging seat to sit in the audience to listen!
Played this piece my freshman and senior year in high school–favorite piece I ever did play for sure. Can't listen to it without a couple tears coming to my eye, even all these years later. Outstanding composition by Mr. Galante.
We played this at state contest and got 29/30. It was my favorite of all our songs!! I play flute!!!
Playing lead trumpet in this song was amazing.
I played 1st chair flute on this piece and it was so fun to play, loved it.
Played this for my senior year on bari sax, easily one of if not my favorite song I've played.
I'm doing this song for band UIL and I love it. I listen to it like 1,000,000 times a day since like December and I never get tired of it. I play tuba by the way.
Those triplets in the trombone part around five minutes in, jeez louise, that was a fun time.
The French horn part is beautiful but ugh at the same time.
This piece was so annoying to learn and took so much hard work (for flute), but at the end it's always worth it :)
I did not realize this song was six minutes, even though I've been playing it in band for a couple months. I guess I just love the song so much that I never think about the time.
