This is my Dad's account but I am a girl and my boyfriend plays the bari saxophone 🎷 and I play tenor saxophone 🎷 in the same jazz band with him. We are playing this song in our jazz band and we both have solos.

I played this for the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in February this year, and we got almost perfect scores in the 3D division (I'm in the second band). It was definitely a favorite of the class, it's so much fun! Our flute soloist was AWESOME!! I am a bari sax player and it was sooo much fun! We finally have a chance to be heard!! Like if you play bari!!

Herbie always has the best lines. As a bari sax player, I enjoyed playing his compositions like Cantaloupe Island and Watermelon Man. Bravo!

My jazz band is playing this and I'm so incredibly stressed out. I'm a piano player of 14 years but I've never read music in my life. I was born with perfect pitch so I've learned everything by ear up to this point. I was handed the sheet music for this piece about a week ago and every night has been me crying on my floor trying to teach myself to read. I legitimately feel like I'm learning Chinese from scratch and I'm so stressed out. This piece is making me hate it, even though it's so good 🙏😭
