I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS MEDLEY FOR THE LONGEST!!! I COULD CRY RIGHT NOW!!! I fell in love with this medley when I played it in high school in 2017. (I played Trumpet 2-3) BIG SHOUT OUT TO MY BAND TEACHER MR. HALVERSON!! I played the trumpet for 9 years but let it go after my senior year, I regret that so much, I had the best music teacher. It was songs like this that make me want to go and buy a trumpet and play again.
Two years ago, I played Hikari (the Kingdom Hearts song) at my school's concert band in my final year, and it was exhilarating, finally knowing that yes, video game music IS real music.
Played this two years ago. Third trumpet part (I was such a baby then OK). Such an amazing piece.
This song was a pain to learn for me on flute, but I loved it.
We played Civilization IV last year. It was epic.
I play alto sax in concert band, my friend who plays baritone has a soli for one of my favorite parts in Civilization IV. The little 3-bar soli in it is my absolute favorite part of this entire piece.
Those sixteenth notes in Civilization IV for the clarinet 1 part and flute part are tricky.
I just got the music for this piece and I'm going to be reading it in my band class two days from now. I am so excited! I have first trumpet and the solo and melody on Halo look so scary but I'm so excited.
We played Civilization IV for district band.
