Man I've really come to appreciate this song. We played it at the beginning of the year and I thought it was okay, but we have picked it back up again for competitions and boy howdy, I really enjoy all the nuances and effects this song entails. I've come to appreciate Galante's work a ton because he is just a brilliant composer.

It seems like many of Galante's works end abruptly. But I dig them. They're what band music should be. Back in the day, the staples of composers my school would play were Swearingen and Shaffer. Occasionally, there'd be Robert Sheldon who I absolutely adore. His scores were edgy and sounded very soundtrack-like, which I love. I wish my band was bold enough to play music like this one for concerts and competitions.
