I enjoy how the violins don't overpower the other instruments, especially the bass. It is very clear and easy to hear.

I love that the lead-in to water is raindrops. One drop, then two, and it swells you into a flowing river.

I love how you can clearly hear all parts for each instrument. Many composers try to do this, but it is extremely hard to balance out every part equally. With that said, Richard Meyer nailed it. Edit: I JUST GOT A FRICKIN AD BETWEEN WATER AND FIRE.

I love the transition from air into water. I also love the viola part in water.

Fire sounds so huge it makes me think it's an entire symphony despite just being strings.

This piece really shows how genius Richard is. It's so clear to tell that there are 4 elements being represented in this piece from earth, air, water, and finally fire. Each expressing itself with vibrant and much feeling. What made me feel so much join in this piece is when the third section (water) appeared it started as plucking and very short notes like water droplets, eventually ending up into faster, smoother bows like longer rain is being poured. Truly an unforgettable piece.

I listened to this piece two or three years ago in middle school and thought it was really cool, and now we're actually going to play it! I'm very excited :P second violin here.

I absolutely adore water (I play viola), and this is absolutely perfect for us bc we never get our own part, and water sounds absolutely gorgeous.
