Interestingly, it is Grade 2. If you're an advanced band, don't miss out on using this one in your rehearsals in the bandroom.
Playing this for LGPE in my high school's symphonic band this year and the phrasing, instrumentation of this song just gives me goosebumps every time we play it.
I played the French Horn part in my own university's band. I love this piece of music, it's so beautiful.
I did this piece at my UIL. We got the highest score.
The oboe being heard makes it so much better.
My band directors are having us play this piece as middle schoolers and on the page it looks so easy but making it sound good is the hard part.
About to be my 18th. I played through all my old music from my 'childhood' and ended with Rippling Watercolors. Well, thank you… 🙂😞
I played this in 7th grade along with Mountain of the Sun and Marzo Zingaro. These are my favorite 3 pieces to play at the moment.
When my band director put this on to let us get the feel of what we were playing, I kid you not, I shed tears—not ugly ones, just tears of pure bliss. This song is beautiful.
I am so fucking glad I play horn and had this song. Note: I was the only horn in my band.
Your band must have a killer Bass Clarinetist for this piece, but if you do, you MUST play this piece!
I think it is measure 38 or 30, but that trumpet melody part, bro, is so tough it makes me cry.
