Description
The work Rasa (Dew) was commissioned by the mixed choir of the University of Latvia, "Juventus", to celebrate the choir's 100th anniversary. The main idea of the composition is about a new beginning in time and space, which is often expressed in Latvian folksongs by the presence of dew. Dew"is a rhythmically active and vivacious piece with a lyrical middle section. The sound of voices in the piece is complemented by a percussion instrument - a folk drum.
