So we played this for band camp so we only had like 1 week to learn this and I LOVE the solo parts where it's like a fun little rhythm

Oh my god the cubist period variation is so beautiful. Watching the score gradually filling up with complexity to me at least is stunning. I play first horn in this piece currently and I absolutely adore the horn line at measure 49, it's so fun to play. Overall I love this piece but those were just some highlights. Oh also the blue period variation was absolutely tearjerking
