I played this tune in high school. The version I played featured the trombone section. Great memories all made possible thanks to my step grandfather Erwin Leu who passed away last year.
The alto second solo carrying the entire price I'm sad I wanted to play that part cuz I'm tenor😭😭😭😭
Playing this year on bari sax and it's so fun
Playing this today on Christmas on drum set😂
This arrangement is great. I only changed the order of playing the individual instruments in the saxophone solo: 1 baritone sax, 2 soprano sax, 3 alto sax, 4 tenor sax and it sounded brilliant.
Played this in band and it was very fun! Edit: Forgot to mention we played it at a faster pace.
Played this in my first year of HS in the Winter Concert. It was concert band, so for Bb Clarinet I was given a 1st Tenor Sax part. Safe to say the notes in the backgrounds section were not easy to pull off, and pretty much couldn't play the notes at measures 45 nor 46 to save my life. Still, a great piece
I'm doing this for jazz band this winter concert, very good arrangement. Update: we performed it and my band killed hard.....
I play the bari sax part and my jazz band doesn't have a tenor sax. I got the tenor solo, which is great because my part only has three measures of melody
