JESUS CHRIST THE FLUTE PART NEARLY KILLED ME 😭😭😭
It's about time I get to play melody as a bass clarinet
I remember playing this in high school. RIP Robert W. Smith.
YES! FINALLY!! I LOVE THIS PIECE (if you can't tell....). Brings me back to freshman year of high school, 9 years ago. I played 3rd clarinet but was holding it down. Robert W. Smith is such a fantastic composer! I hope to meet him in person someday to tell him how much I appreciate his work
Playing this as first tenor is like a life-changing experience
Me and my bandmates have to play this every day and practice it because we can't get the fast parts. I'm a flute player btw❣️
Played this during competition and got 1st place overall
I played this song at my last concert with my favorite band director and band, I just hope my new school has just as amazing of a band... ❤❤😢😢
We got to perform this during All Region. Omg I died the first day, especially with the sight reading. I enjoyed finally having more people in my section. Any other lonely bassoonist out there?
I play this on the French horn and it's so much fun lol
When I played this back in middle school, when the pause occurred the audience started clapping and then we continued playing. Pretty funny
Clarinets and mallets is my new favorite combo!
Played this in HS over 20 years ago. I still love this.
Just found out this is one of our LGPE pieces, as a bass clarinet I have literally never been so excited in my life🥳🥳
I am doing this for my high school symphonic band, as a bari sax player, I feel sorry for the clarinets. But also my part is ridiculous. 😂😂😂
One of the best pieces I played in HS. My college band said we could play this so I'm so excited to play this one more time 🥹.
It was nice to finally have the melody as a tenor saxophone in 7th grade while playing this.
I'm in eighth grade playing this piece, I'm an oboe, my mouth wants to die, I love it, not the like 30 measure rest that repeats
I played marimba on this when we performed it for state competition. It was such a fun part.
I play tuba and this song is very fun
Our band just had MOA this week Tuesday and we played this for one of our songs and we got all 1s and 1 in sight reading
Played this song for my band's competition as a freshman. I was on alto sax 1. This song was really hard! However, this song was really fun to play!
The baritone goes hard on this one
I play tuba and the part at the end hurts
I played tenor sax on this 18 years ago in 8th grade, and--thanks to the typo in the trombone part that my band director liked to joke about--to this day I still intentionally mix up the words "vicious" and "viscous"
I'm playing this piece right now and I love this so much (I'm an alto sax player) this is difficult though
YAS BASSOONS FINALLY HAVE THE COOL PART LOL
We're taking this to MPA and as a bass clarinet I LOVE it because normally I don't have fun stuff😂
We are playing this for state band contest. I'm an 8th grader in high school band and I'm really stressed out because I'm not used to playing stuff like this.
We're playing this.. I'm in 7th grade, I play tuba.. This is a VERY fun piece..
Ugh I'm so excited to play this for festivals, I love this song piece, I'm a clarinet player and I play 3rd clarinet for it and my friend plays 2nd clarinet. Edit: I am in my 2nd year of high school and I am a 1st clarinet player🎉 Another edit: R.I.P. Robert W. Smith. You were the most amazing music composer for us and my high school band absolutely loves your talent. Your soul is now of musical joy and we are honoring you by playing Encanto
