I just got this piece today in orchestra. I've listened to it a million times and it still hits me in the feels. It is sooooooooooo fun to play! Am I right, fellow cello? Edit (5 years later): even after graduating and peacefully ending my orchestral career, this song is still by far my favorite piece we ever played. From about 4 songs per concert and roughly 3 concerts per year from 6th grade to 12th, this was my favorite.
Played this in 6th grade, it's still by far the best piece I've ever played. Everything is perfectly balanced and sounds absolutely beautiful. I'm still in love with the melody. (Viola player)
I did this in 4th grade advanced orchestra. It was good for 1st violins and was a fun piece!
I was extremely lucky to be a part of the orchestra that premiered this when I was in 5th grade. This really didn't set in stone me wanting to go into composition. Now I'm a freshman in college, and this piece still brings good memories.
This is so fun on bass!
As a viola player, this is fun to play, but can be a little tricky.
Man, it's been a while since somebody has commented on this video. Playing this in my orchestra class for a concert piece and it's absolutely just beautiful. Can't wait to be able to fully play this (we just got the piece, still practicing!)
Played this in 4th grade for my concert <3 I was a viola, it was a struggle 🥲
Last year I got Gauntlet, this year I got Hunter's Moon, BOTH ARE SO GOOD, Doug Spata is epic. I'm a cellist :3 Last year I was in 7th, we're doing this one for 8th grade.
