Description
From the movie The Polar Express, "Hot Chocolate" is hot stuff. Based on the original recording, this one has been adapted for the young player by arranger Mike Lewis. No solos, modest ranges and a driving bass line make it move along. Mike offers two endings to make this chart effective all year round: one with the hip "Jingle Bells" quote and one without. This is a fun swinger loaded with energy. Check it out! This title is available in MakeMusic Cloud. (2:30)

I love jazz band. Lanier County played this at the Christmas concert and we played this in the Christmas parade in Lakeland, Georgia.

Playing this for Jazz band as a trombone player, and it's such a good time ngl :D

I play trombone in my class, so when we play this the trombone rules the show.

Drums in this part—that's a tricky swingerino

THIS BASS PART WAS SO SICK BUT IT TOOK FOREVER TO FIGURE OUT. I actually never fully got it since I still couldn't read sheet music well at the time, so for half the song I ended up improvising in the key using previous patterns. That just made it a little more fun though.

I played the bass part for my band! It was my favorite.
