Dear Theodosia feeds into It's Quiet Uptown. Half the band cried

"Why couldn't One Last Time be the last song? That's an epic ending! Like, not a song that makes us all cry." -Band member

During the school year my school's concert band played this as a somewhat project for a student teacher who was doing work as a teacher and we did a lot of work on this song as he taught it to us and directed it on the night of the concert. I wish I got a chance to thank him more than I did before he had to leave. He was an amazing teacher.

I have played this chart in two community bands, and enjoyed it in both. "It's Quiet Uptown" was our most challenging theme, and my favorite.

So we were playing this in band, somehow got caught in the final rests of It's Quiet Uptown, messed up One Last Time, but played the last note perfectly. Yay.

I played this at my spring concert and I find it ironic that the last song is 'One Last Time' and it was the last time I was performing with the seniors, one of which was one of my best friends.

Didn't really like/know Hamilton when our band teacher told us we were going to play this for concert band last spring. Ended up loving this piece, and our teacher left which makes it even more memorable 🥲

Playing this in my school's high school concert band at Long Beach Loyalty Days parade! So stoked because I'm only in eighth grade.
