Description
Fury of the Storm, by Aiden Minder-Maldonado, is an exciting and dynamic piece that depicts a boat ride through an intense tropical storm. The piece starts slowly, representing the calm before the storm hits. It then starts building and building until it reaches a faster tempo, representing the rough intensity of the storm. Eventually, it reaches the eye of the storm, a sense of peace, then rises back into the craziness of the storm until the end. A perfect concert opener, closer, or festival piece!

A patient composition, giving space for silence and anticipation, yet still conveys urgency. Catchy main theme yet enough depth and complexity to keep you guessing and interested, and a mindfulness toward each part having something interesting, fun, and meaningful to play.

Still have the sheet music from when we played it when it was called Typhoon.

It's grade 2.5 and we already have our songs for our spring concert picked out (currently 8th grade), but I think I could bribe our freshman teacher next year to play this.
