Absolutely love this piece! Played it during several concert seasons in HS as a snare drummer (Manor HS, Portsmouth, VA...'73-'77). Talk about a challenge! But I was lucky enough to be in a very, very talented HS band with incredible band directors during my four years. Thank you Mr. Nelhybel. Brilliant composition!

Played percussion in high school band on this... what a nightmare of a song to count. Good memories though! Was back in 1995!

Played this in high school...fun for the percussion, not so much for the oboe. Octave down from the flutes the whole time? Meh.

I'm a seventh grader in an eighth grade band and we're playing this! It's a counting nightmare but I really like it!

I remember playing this from 5th grade into high school. I think we played this for competition, and it was so much FUN! This is the one song I truly remember from childhood. Conductor would call for us to play it, and everyone would get EXCITED! It drives me crazy when I hear it OFF tempo with other videos. It's like nails on a chalkboard. The tempo is a must!

I played this song in concert band in high school one of my favs however this piece sounds like it could go for marching band too it has a marching sound to it. I love this though all these years later still very good

It's only been 3 days and I have my regular band music down and so the senior high band conductor is my lesson teacher so he's making me learn the songs and this is one of them (I'm in 8th) and this is my fav one

Boi I played this in 7th grade in the "honor" band with the 8th graders and I thought that it was so hard but looking back just one year later I realize that this really wasn't that bad!

We played it but had no timpani or toms parts :( sounds way better here than when we played it. But great tune and a big bop!!
