This majestic and spirited work is a fantastic opener and an ideal way to introduce students to 6/8. From the opening stately fanfare to the energetic motifs and rhythms that follow, the music takes the ensemble on a journey where the only limit is imagination. A wonderful overture that is extremely playable!
