Description
These songs are taken from an early sixteenth-century set of viol part-books in the British Museum, then transcribed and edited by Peter Warlock (1894-1930) for voice and string quartet. A short score is also included should the singer wish to play with piano accompaniment. Songs included: 1. Sweet was the Song the Virgin Sung; 2. This Merry Pleasant Spring; 3.
