Throughout the ten years of band experience, I would have to say playing this piece would have been my favorite one alongside playing Anchors Aweigh in front of admirals and captains for Navy bootcamp graduations. It was an honor to have ended the musician chapter of my life with the Navy Band.
I played tuba and my teacher told me to go all out for this and I did just that, one of my favorites
As a snare player, this was hard but also fun at the same time
my 8th grade band might be doing this for our contest this year! I'll tell you that the low brass was very excited while listening to this. my friends and I are absolutely obsessed with this song.
What I love about Todd Stalter's pieces is that you can tell he made them with the intensity they have. With that being said, I LOVE LOW BRASS DOMINANCE!!!! (Can't forget about the low reeds as well, everyone makes this beautiful)
PLAYING THIS AS A CLARINET WAS SO FUN
Loved playing that melody on tuba
Big throwback to 8th grade 3 years ago… played the timpani part for San Diego Middle School honors band. Super exciting part, too bad I quit percussion altogether even though I was pretty darn good at it.
I played the xylophone for this tune and when I don't play when the tempo slows down I sing what the bell plays and the melody
We played this for state my 8th grade year. I'm happy we did too because we were sadly my band teacher's last good class
flute part for this song is SO fun!!
Playing this for my 7th grade concert and I have to say it's a lot easier than it sounds but also very confusing if you don't know what you're doing (Saying this as a flute player)
This is a pretty fun piece for bringing in drum line in 8th grade in the high school marching band that got first at state for 3A Texas
As a trombone for my grade 9 band this was definitely one of my favorite songs to play
Trumpet part is so much fun to play, I have the solo in measure 56, and it's my comp song as well
The day after we got our music, one piece being Counterbalance, my friend ran up to me and excitedly asked if I'd listened to Counterbalance yet. I hadn't, and she rambled about how amazing it is before dragging me off to a practice room to play it. I love this song!
