This piece was commissioned in memory of Briggs Anderson. He was a classmate of mine and we premiered this piece this last winter because it would have been Briggs's senior year. Every time I hear this song it brings me to tears. I love Andy Beck's work. He did a wonderful job writing such a beautiful piece in memory of Briggs.

I did this for 8th grade choir. I love this piece so much. Every chord, every single note blends incredibly well in this piece. This is one of my very favorite pieces of music.

the alto part in the first part is hard, because you want to sing the soprano part because it's overpowering yours

My choir director had us do this the last year she worked at that school. She was absolutely the most influential teacher I have ever had. They fired her for almost no reason at all and it will always upset me they did that.

We sang it in our year 5 and 6 choir and it was honestly one of the most beautiful choir pieces ever
