Concert Waltz No. 2 in F major, Op. 51 was composed in 1894 by Alexander Glazunov (1865-1936) during a period when he was firmly established as one of Russia's leading symphonic composers and a prominent figure of the post-Rimsky-Korsakov generation. A brilliant orchestral showpiece, the work was first performed in 1894 in Russia, where it quickly gained favor. While Glazunov's First Concert Waltz remains the more frequently heard of the pair, the Concert Waltz No. 2 continues to appear in orchestral programs and recordings today.
