i had to play this piece in eighth grade (as a flute player) this piece is beautiful but is a living hell to play

This song is fundamentally easy, it truly is musicianship where it'll get ya. My band performs this over tempo (if you play this song in 1.25x, that's around the tempo we take it), just to keep it engaging to the audience. If you play this at this tempo, you better have clean articulations and incredible dynamic contrast otherwise the audience will get bored.

I'm a French horn on this one. Just screaming the Carol of the Bells line is easily one of the best experiences I have had in 7 years of band.

as a student from GPN HS we have been playing this for 3 years straight once every year at one of our concerts. it is amazing to play and hear the peoples reactions when we play. (i'm on tenor sax) everything about it is perfect for the ending of a show. Love it!

Wow we just got this as our finale for our winter concert. I'm a lonely first trombone. We only have two trombones and the other guy is on second. I don't even see him because of our wonky school set up this year. I get to meet him the day before the concert. Yay. 😂

As a flute, I hate this song with a passion. We are playing it this year in band (I'm a freshman) and the scales at the end and the trilled high G make me want to jump off a cliff
