I played this in 8th grade (2018) and our only trumpet guy stopped playing because his lips were dry. I sight read his sheet music as he was sitting next to me. I sight read perfectly on my alto sax, and here I am today standing, playing for UMBC College.

this is a wild song to give to middle schoolers because for two minutes we're playing something that has such an intense power behind it and you realize that woah. we're doing this. we're the power. we're playing something that is so important. this is the most important thing ever. and then the bell rings and they gotta go to math class

This song just crawled back into my memory from 6th grade. I remember having to set up my portable bell set on stage because I still didn't know which notes were which without having them written on the keys. (I eventually figured it out, but I still cannot read sheet music without having the notes written out for the life of me)

I have some memory with this song because we were gonna play it for a concert in 6th grade but then my teacher was deployed to help with army needs because he was in reserves. He is also now not returning

😢in 5th grade this was one of my first songs and my first concert was in December. It snowed on that day so it was then cancelled but rescheduled. So the week when Christmas break starts we did the concert and it was epic. That was in 2019 I'm now in 8th grade learning more exciting music and I love it😊

I cannot tell you how much I love this melody! I'm in 5th grade and everyone in my band loves it! It's the best song we play all year! Fun fact is that I'm going to play it at a concert TODAY, because it got delayed because it was supposed to be in Feb. Also idk how you're reading this 😅. Another thing is that I hum it a lot!

We played this at MPA my 7th grade year and got a superior rating and my school got one in 10 years and we love the teacher we have I am going to high school now he said that he was coming to all of our performances we got another superior the 8th grade year too

In 6th grade we played this and the clarinets butchered the solo us brass/other woodwinds/percussionists had to show them how to play after it
