I'm playing first flute for this and I absolutely love the way the flute is used in this song!! It's so beautiful and it's a nice break from constantly playing melody, to be harmony and have beautiful parts like this one. Sheldon made an absolute masterpiece!
Playing this for All County and first clarinet part is so pretty I love it
I'm playing this for our eighth grade band! It sounds amazing especially being first trumpet in this piece 😄
I played the first trumpet part on this 7 years ago. I still remembered it for this long. Such a beautiful piece and I love how you can physically feel the music flow through everyone.
Played 1st chair clarinet for this piece junior year of high school for a concert and a few competitions and I fell in love with this song. It immediately reminded me of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. I miss being able to play this in a band.
Played this in a concert on May 18th of 2021. It was the first band concert I had performed at in 1.5 years. This piece never fails to bring a tear to my eye for that reason
I am first chair euph in our symphonic band, it's friggin' awesome. No arguments. It's awesome to hear the band come together in that one measure (I don't feel like finding the number) - it's great, it comes together perfectly. And hearing the way it flows from measure to measure with massive use of dynamic changes is great as well. It flows perfectly, and it touches one's soul.
I love this. It's like good times and the high school concert played this. It was peak to hear this in person, it was beautiful and amazing
We played this at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. So many happy memories. Makes me sad every time I hear it.
