played oboe in this for a concert in October 2022, this was the song that finally forced me to learn how to play a D-flat
Ha. One of my best band moments came from here. During class warmups, me (euph), friends (trumpet and percussion) started playing this in sync for fun. Because we all had leading parts in the beginning, people heard it and started joining in. We managed to get the entire band to play through, on speed, correctly, without a conductor. Man that was fun
playing this song for my band this year!! (french horn player) this song is so fun for me! especially cause I'm the only one in my grade who plays french horn and during class we don't have a lot of clarinets (about 4-5) so when we play parts it's like solos for us!
I remember back in honor band when we played this, the crowd cheered and cheered! it was the best we had ever played it!
Just played this song on Clarinet (I'm usually a Bass Clarinet) I'd say it was my favorite out of all of my UIL songs. Pretty easy, but requires focus.
My band got a reward from the state by playing this song
any of yall in tx bc our band got sweepstakes and this was our first song played
I had to play this with percussion it was so much fun
We're playing this for UIL, and I'm a trumpet. It sounds like a pirate song. But it's a Spanish song
While I was in 6th grade I saw the seventh graders play it and I copied it (they hated it) and now I've played it already n stuff and I'm revisiting this again 3 years later holy crap this is a memory, trombone btw
We were supposed to practice for a minute while band director was doing something and trumpets started playing, by measure 17 ALL band joined (even the director)😂
Love playing this on trombone
I played this and two other songs for LGPE and we got all 1s and we were only a 7th and 8th grade band.
Just had my band concert on this, got a superior for the OMHEA or however u spell it
I play Tenor Saxophone and it's just so fun to hear all the low brass, low reeds and percussion. I sit in the back row with the lows. This song is super fun to play as a Tenor. I highly recommend Tenor to any Alto players out there. If you know, you know. (Also, you aren't very cool if you play Careless Whisper as a saxophone player. It pisses the band directors off.)
