Was this guy a bassoon player? He really knows how to write bassoon parts.

This is one of the best songs I've played/heard. It may have been hard, but it was beautiful

I have never seen a composer quite as good as Barrett at writing bassoon parts. Like all the bassoon parts I see are so lacking in structure or difficulty or just plain understanding of the bassoon and its ability. Roland Barrett, however, just seems to be able to get a great understanding of every instrument. I presume the bassoon was his starting/favorite instrument. Like he shows a clear understanding of every instrument but he sure knows how to write bassoon parts, that's for sure.
