I like the song because in the beginning, those moving harmonies the low brass and trumpets have are amazing💪🏾 Coming from a percussionist
Finally deep bass has an important part.
I play this in band and I'm a bari sax and finally have a good part along with the other lows. we have a good time cuz we got told to play LOUDER?!? Since when??
Our 7th and 8th graders played this for festival this year and now the 6th graders are playing it better than them
Just played this at my spring concert. We actually started playing this piece 4 days ago and it sounded good!
It was the first piece I played in an orchestra today with my friends. We were talking about how much we would like to play it again, sadly it won't be possible since I was a flutist but I became a double bass.
we won states with this piece in middle school
I played this piece in 8th grade! It was a total BANGER!!! I played percussion 2!
My band could not pull it together to play this song. I was the only one who could do this right. I was on the tom toms. Edit: >> 2 years and I now play snare and we're replaying this and are decent
Our band sight read this a few days ago to get ready for an upcoming band competition and it was a blast even if we got to play it for 1 day
I love playing this on my trombone...I switched over to it. I was originally trumpet, until December... I was trumpet for 6th grade and half of 7th. I got my trombone for Christmas and learned all the notes and etc during Christmas break. I switched in January, ever since then, I've loved it, and I'm sticking to it! I was first chair trumpet, now first chair trombone... <3
I love the tempo change at measure 18, it's perfect. I also love where we start off with calm and low notes at the beginning to measure 5 (not including), measure 37 to 43, 78 to 83, and 88 to the last measure, 99 are the best in my opinion, anyone else?
Me when performing this exact song: Has a lot more band members and less flutes. Brass section overpowers. Trombones rule. (The more band and less woodwinds make it even more majestic, especially when it's in the auditorium)
Playing this in 2 days at a festival!.!! We got 2nd place in our div!!!
I'm playing this for my 7th grade pre-festival concert on Feb 16 😮 update 1: it got canceled 😞 working on a make up date update 2: no make up date going straight to festival 😬 update 3: got an overall rating of 2 🤪🤪
