AN ALPINE SYMPHONY (EINE ALPENSINFONIE), Op. 64, is a tone poem for large orchestra composed by Richard Strauss (1864-1949). One of Strauss's most expansive non-operatic works, the score requires a massive ensemble of 125 musicians.
