The french horn part right before the first crash cymbal is amazing
I'm a Sophomore in High School and we played this for my 8th Grade Christmas concert and I had the flute solo in the beginning. Looking back on this song, I can play it much better now.
Such an amazing bass trombone part, gotta love the low D's and C's in Carol of the Bells
AHHHHH YES I GET TO PLAY MY TROMBONE I'm on the bass part which is all the super low parts. I'm so happy
Playing this with my school band is so fun. Our band was divided into two classes at the start and I was the only flute in my class. It was quite fun playing all the solos by myself 😆😆
I heard this performed today by my school orchestra (from fifth to 12th or 13th grade) and it was amazing. They had one tiny kid with a tuba twice his size blasting those low notes in the best way possible.
I PLAYED THE BELLS AND GONG FOR THIS AND IT WAS SO GOOD
Bass clarinet on this song is probably the funniest experience I've had
I play an alto sax in our concert and marching band and we played this last year for our Christmas concert. We had so much fun last year that we convinced our band director to let us play it again this year
I remember when we played this piece, I was the first chair flautist as well as the only piccolo player in our band, so the director gave the second chair player the flute solo at the beginning. I was upset at the time, but it was completely fair, and she did a wonderful job at our performance.
I play Marimba in this piece and just listening to the brass at the beginning waiting for my entry is my favorite part. It's so majestic!
I was so happy as a euphonium to play the same part as the french horn in the beginning. The G up top kept getting me, but I've got it down now, and overall, this song is so pretty. I'm a junior in high school ❤
I loved this song!! I played the first clarinet part and it was really fun!! The only thing is that measure 94 was really challenging considering it was really different from what the rest of the band was playing, but I did enjoy this piece a lot!!
1st clarinet freshman here. Love this nice and easy piece (at least for clarinets). Very beautiful and very good choice for a winter concert.
