Raymond Sifuentes
Raymond Sifuentes is a music educator, composer, and performer based in San Antonio, Texas. He is a native to the area, having grown up in and around the city. In 2022, Sifuentes graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with his Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Certificate of Recognition in Instrumental Performance. It was there that he studied tenor trombone with Dr. Steve Parker and conducting with Dr. John Zarco. Sifuentes has had several notable performances of his works, including a performance by the UTSA Flute Ensemble at the Texas Music Educator’s Association Convention in 2023. In his free time, he enjoys keeping active on his instrument and giving the gift of live music to the San Antonio area. He has performed with several ensembles, including the South Texas Symphonic Orchestra, Trinity University Wind Ensemble, Trinity Baptist Church Orchestra, San Antonio Trombone Choir, and Zion Theatre Group Pit Orchestra. He currently serves as the Director of Bands at Medina Valley Middle School, where he conducts the Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. He is proud to work at the very school where he first learned to play his instrument.
