Lynne German
Lynne German is a National Board Certified music educator, composer, and performer. She holds music degrees from Bob Jones University and earned a Master of Music Education, summa cum laude, from Old Dominion University. She also completed Kodály certification training through James Madison University.
Throughout her career, Lynne has taught piano, flute, and voice and directed award-winning school choirs and various church choirs. She currently serves on the music faculty at Old Dominion University and is the Training Choir Director for the Virginia Children's Chorus. In addition, she founded the German Music Studio and the Harrisonburg Piano Teachers Forum, where she served as the organization’s first president.
Lynne was inducted into the National Piano Guild Hall of Fame and is both a published author and a commissioned composer. Her music is distributed through J.W. Pepper and has been performed internationally.
Lynne loves spending time with her very supportive husband, four musical daughters, and fun grandchildren. She is also deeply committed to helping young musicians discover the joy of music and develop meaningful artistic expression as they cultivate their talents.
