Lucy Mauro
GRAMMY-nominated pianist Lucy Mauro has performed and taught at festivals and schools in Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, China and throughout the US. Her CDs for the Delos label have been hailed in Gramophone, BBC Music Magazine, and Diapason, and  awarded a Recording of the Year 2011 by MusicWeb International, among other recognitions. Her latest CD, Mademoiselle:  Première Audience, Unknown Music of Nadia Boulanger was nominated for a 2017 GRAMMY and a 2018 International Classical Music Award in Europe and which The Buffalo News called “one of the most important classical records of this or any year.”  She is a graduate of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University from which she received Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees and where she studied with Ann Schein and Julio Esteban. Her editions for Alfred Publishing with colleague Dr. Scott Beard include Arensky’s Suite for Two Pianos, Essential Two-Piano Repertoire, Essential Keyboard Trios, and Essential Keyboard Duet Transcriptions, Volumes 4 and 5.
