Everett C. Davis
Everett Davis grew up in a small town outside of Portland, Oregon, where his love for music began at an early age. Some of his first memories were attempting—probably not all that successfully—to play and write music for various musical instruments. In middle school and high school, he played in band, sang in choir, and acted in musicals; he ran track and cross country. He also did Taekwondo for nine years and has a second-degree black belt.
He attended the University of Oregon, where he played French horn in bands and orchestras and sang in choir. He also had the privilege of being the assistant teacher and conductor of the Campus Orchestra and the Horn Ensemble. After graduating from the University of Oregon, he began teaching band and choir at Oaklea Middle School, as well as offering private French horn lessons. He continues to be an active performer, singing in the Eugene Symphony Orchestra Chorus and playing horn with the Eugene Symphonic Band.Â
In the fall of 2025, he will begin a Master of Music Education degree at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
Music has been a guiding force throughout his life, and he believes it has the profound potential to positively impact all individuals. As he continues to teach, perform, and compose, he is reminded of the boundless inspiration that music brings to each one of us.
