Ben Kapilow

Ben Kapilow has served as the Resident Music Director for the Media Theatre since Summer 2017. He has also worked as a music director/accompanist at the Walnut Street Theatre, St. Pius X School, and Mother of Providence Regional School. He hosted a music teacher interview podcast called "All Keyed Up" from 2011–2022 which at its height had 17,000 subscribers.

As a speaker on piano pedagogy, he has presented at the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy, the Creative Conference, and the Expand Online Summit, and his writing on teaching has been published in Piano Magazine and the Colourful Keys blog. He has additionally been featured on the TopCast Podcast, Josh Wright Piano Podcast, Piano Pantry Podcast, and the Piano Parent Podcast. He received an M.M. in Music Composition from the Peabody Conservatory and a B.A. in Music and Psychology from Swarthmore College.
