Adam Kossler
American guitarist Adam Kossler is renowned for his virtuoso technique, beautiful sound, and sincere musicality. He performs regularly as a solo and chamber musician, and his performances have taken him across the US, Canada, Central America, and Asia.
Kossler has been a top prizewinner in national and international guitar competitions and has released three solo albums, two duo albums and has published many performance videos on a variety of online platforms.
Alongside his brother John Kossler, the Kossler Duo’s first album, Dance Macabre reached the top ten on Billboard’s Traditional Classical Charts. Their most recent release, Preludes and Fugues Vol. 1 was met with critical acclaim and includes newly composed works for the duo and new arrangements of traditional repertoire.
As an educator and clinician, Kossler has appeared around the world teaching at international guitar festivals, music conferences, Suzuki® institutes and public schools. As an arranger, he has published many works for solo, duo, and guitar ensemble, which are available through Guitar Chamber Music Press.
Kossler studied under his father and earned degrees at East Carolina University, Appalachian State University, and Florida State University. He currently directs the guitar program in the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
