What exactly comes with HybridNOW?
HybridNOW allows you to purchase and immediately download the score and parts for use right away. In addition to the digital score that comes with your download, you will ALSO have a beautiful PRINT score shipped to you. HybridNOW also includes permission to copy parts so you can meet the needs of your ensemble's instrumentation, and never lose a part again.
How is HybridNOW different from purchasing a print edition or a typical Hybrid edition?
Print and Hybrid editions typically have to be shipped to the customer, so there is a period of time you need to wait before receiving the piece unless you are able to purchase it in person. With HybridNOW, you are able to get the best of both worlds. You can download and print the piece immediately for your rehearsal later in the day. You also get a printed, bound score in the original 9x12 format with a nice, glossy cover and larger print.
Can I use HybridNOW at contests and festivals?
Yes! HybridNOW is legal and includes a letter of permission to copy parts. When presented alongside your proof of purchase, you are 100% covered.
Can I copy the score?
No. All copying permission is for parts only. HybridNOW does come with 2 scores: 1 digital and 1 print. Additional scores must be purchased.
Where can I purchase HybridNOW?
Currently, the technology used to deliver both digital and print files only exists on alfred.com. As additional dealers develop this capability, we look forward to partnering with them to expand the reach of HybridNOW even further.
What pieces are available in HybridNOW format?
All 2026 new releases for concert band and orchestra are available in HybridNOW format in addition to print alone or digital alone. This includes Alfred Music, Belwin, MakeMusic Publications, and Highland/Etling. As the technology improves, we hope to extend this to additional titles in previous years' catalog.
I have already purchased a print or digital copy. Can I "convert" that to HybridNOW?
HybridNOW is currently only available as a standalone, new purchase. Any previous purchases are not able to be converted into a HybridNOW format.
