I played this freshman year in my upper band for our spring concert. Easily this is one of my favorites (being french horn for this song is perfect) and I loved playing it.

As a euphonium player who doubled on the horn solo at the beginning, I absolutely love the entire idea of this song. A majestic entrance to a flawless piece. A true work of art. Plus, the challenge of having to hit high A in said beginning solo is a fun way to push my limits as a euphonium player.
