Description
Lullaby was the name George Gershwin gave to an exercise in harmony (originally written for string quartet) that he prepared as an assignment while studying orchestration with Edward Kilenyi in 1919. Later in his life, Gershwin's soothing Lullaby became a favorite among Gershwin's string-playing friends, who often performed the piece privately.
