Mauricio Kagel's Fremde Töne & Widerhall is a 22-minute work for orchestra. In this work, Mauricio Kagel deals with the phenomenon of reverberation. "Reverberation is a sound event that can be more complicated than its origin." Here he composes a reverberation within a reverberation and arrives at astonishing results. Fremde Töne & Widerhall was premiered in Munich on 28 May 2005 by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the composer.
