This quartet was written to fill the need for flute quartets in which the 4th player is not required to play in the difficult low range. The title is a play on words to describe the bell-tone effect.The chord structure includes close harmony which appeals to performers in particular. This is a very popular flute ensemble in Ohio contests. OMEA Class C
